Well, im only 13, but when my time comes to get married, it would be my absolute dream to get married while skydiving :D so, is it legal to skydive while getting married in the US? and any more unique extraordinary marriage ideas, like i know people who got married on the Statue of Liberty's crown. so...i got about 15 years so take your time. well, i didnt mean exactly getting married while going down. however they usually do it i guess.

When they arrived at the counselor's office, the counselor jumped right in and opened the floor for discussion. " What seems to be the problem?" Immediately, the husband held his long face down without anything to say. In contrast, the wife began talking 90 miles an hour, describing all the wrongs within their marriage. After 15 min. of listening to the wife, the counselor went over her, picked her up by her shoulders, kissed her passionately and sat her back down. Afterwards, the wife sat speechless. The couselor looked aver at the husband and said to the man, " Your wife NEEDS that at least 2x a week!" The husband scratched his head, smiled and replied, " I can have her here on Tuesdays and Thursdays".

How can I bring up the idea to my husband of me and him going to counseling? I have a lot of trust issues with my husband and everytime I try to talk to him at home about it, he gets real defensive and angry, so I want to try counseling, but I think he won't want to go. I need some advice!!! I've been married for 7 yrs. Got married later in life and married someone who was married twice before. I realize now, he doesn't know what marriage is about. I am totally unhappy - he doesn't communicate or connect with me. It is as if he just got married so he wouldn't be alone and needs to be taken care of. I won't go into all the details (although my other questions outline our more recent history), but my marriage has deteriorated to a matter of convenience (the house, the kids, etc.). I often think that any other two people who had our relationship would have divorced years ago. Even friends and family seem puzzled as to how or why we haven't already called it quits (they know we've tried counseling, marriage retreats, etc.). Why, given the circumstances, do I sob at the idea of divorce when logically it seems the only option?

I am a christian and I take my marriage vows very seriously, so I don't intend to leave my husband, especially since we have a 2-year old son. As a result, I feel hopelessly trapped in a marriage that will leave me with unending pain, anger, disappointment and overall unhappiness. We have been married for almost 4 years. I am need of christian marriage advice. My wife and I have been apart going on 4 months, she left by her choice and moved out the house. There was no physical or emontional abuse, she left because she feels that she does not know who she is a person. She tells me she loves me but is no longer in love me. I still care and love her, but at same time, it hard when she does not share the same feelings. I told her I would like to work on the marriage, but she cannot decide what she wants. I talked to a marriage counselor today about trouble that my wife and I are having. My wife is grieving from her dad dying of lung caner in July, and her mom just got diagnosed with lung caner and has been given 2 years to live. She has a ton of sadness in her heart. She is upset with me for being controlling and said she does not know what she wants. We have been together for 19 years and she is resentful for a lot of things that she feels like she missed out on because of me. She once asked me to move out for 2 weeks to give her some time. Although I don’t want to move out I offered to the next morning and she said no. The counselor I spoke today said it sounded like we needed more than weekly sessions to help with our problems. She recommended a 3 day intensive counseling session. It sounded good over the phone, but is that a practical way to counsel us? I think a lot of the resentment is tied to the grief she is feeling. So should I stick to more conventional counseling, or go for the 3 day session.

I'm engaged & we're very much in love, but we've got some issues that seriously need worked out... I mean, we've broken up and gotten back together 3 times in the three years since we first got together!! I'm seeing a counselor through my college to help me deal with personal issues, and he suggested that we do couples therapy. My fiance is not too crazy about the idea... he talked to his friends & they said that if it's gotten to the point of therapy, it's over. Is that true? Also, do you know any ways I can maybe talk my fiance into going to couples therapy??

Most couples therapy is not affective. However, there are forms of counseling couples who are angry and frustrated and are near breaking up. If anything in couples therapy helps, what form or style of therapy is most effective?

My fiancee are at the brink of calling of our relationship all together. While we go to therapy once a week for an hour, it really only has made very little progress. I think we need something more intensive. We have years of issues and we have a daughter. This simply can't go on. I am desperate, please let me know if you know of any place relatively closer to us...we live in Oakland, CA, also if there is a sliding scale availible that would be great, he is unemployed but I am working in a temporary position making 12.21 an hour... Well, we do go to a church sometimes, but the pastor and his wife are pretty busy and it is really hard to meet with them on a regular basis, especially now that we live so much farther. And I think that our therapist is pretty good for what she does ona weekly, hourly basis. We ike her jsut fine, its jsut the issues are so huge that we need to do somethign me besides meet one a week for an hour...

Okay, so my husband is deployed. Our first deployment and he's taking it really hard. Once he found out he was deploying he always started fights and was very stressed. He's 24, I'm 22 married 1yr, but together for 5.5years. Well, he's been deployed for a 2.5months. He's also kinda a mama's boy. Well, we had a facebook together. I noticed he changed the password. So I told my friend to show him some support (sending him a message). She saw that he took all the pictures of me off and now saying he's single. He has also been commenting on other females pics. This doesn't bother me that much cuz he can't at on it. For the most part we never had cheating in the relationship. Ever since he left he has been very distant. When I asked him why he told me our marriage is f*cked up, etc. It's rocky but never serious issues. That all he does is think out there and he doesn't know how he feels. That we're probably going to get a divorce. FRG said, it's normal, he's young, combat stress etc. He's the type of person that can't handle stress. I was thinking that I should give him space. Not write letters & when he calls not to answer (just for 2months or so). I want him to see how it will be like without me. He's not coming home until April for RR. Then he's back in for good in August. Is this normal?? He's never been so distant before. What should I do??

I recently found out the love of my life, the man who I thought was diffeent than all men, had sent a sexual picture of himself to a female at his work. It broke me into pieces because this has happened before with other men in my past and he knew this. He has never done anything to harm me and we've been together for over a year now.
